NATURAL STONE for sharpening "2 Medaglie" Quartz is the abrasive material most frequently occurring in nature, however only few natural stones show the correct relation between quartz and carbonates (bonding agents); for this equilibrium the natural stone "2 Medaglie" is extremely suitable for sharpening all kind of steel.
The natural characteristics of the stones are still emphasised by the use with water. The water, which, reacting with the lime, removes it slightly, leaving the abrasive quartz granulates permanently exposed. All this allows a quick and perfect cleaning of the stone, whereby the abrasive characteristics are permanently maintained.
Quality of the natural stone "2Medaglie":
High quartz proportion. The use of the double granulation extends the sharpening possibilities, even on very worn out edges, avoiding the use of files and thus an excessive removal from the ski edges.
The natural sharpening stones "2 Medaglie" permit a very exact cross section in all conditions. Excellent for an immediate use on ski-runs, especially with artificial snow, which is particularly aggressive on ski edges.

ORIGINAL ARKANSAS HARDThe natural stone "Arkansas" is used because of its purify-granular characteristics and the homogeneous distribution of the quartz particles for sharpening steel. These characteristics allow a professional sharpening of ski edges without burr, where a perfect setting of the ski edges is required.
Professional stone for "ski man" experts.
Application: with pure low thickness oil, especially for natural stones. It can also be used dry for short utilization.

ORIGINAL ARKANSAS SOFTIt possesses similar characteristics as the "Arkansas Hard", but with larger silicon particles, which are a few tenths of a Micron bigger.
For its high friction ability, the principal characteristic of the stone is a fast sharpening of the ski edges even if they are very worn out.
Application: with pure low thickness oil, especially for natural stones. It can also be used dry for short utilization.
Cleaning: rub stone with sandpaper and water.

CORUNDUM STONEManufactured in blue, orange and lilac corundum, granulation 220. Corundum resulting from the reduction with carbon of an appropriate Bauxite mixture. The colour results from the oxides, which lead to a high tenacity.
This stone allows a fast sharpening of ski edges and can be used also by laymen.
Application: dry or with water.

DIAMOND STONEConsisting of a thin, perforated metal plate, coated with diamond dust from galvanized nickel, applied on a shatterproof plastic mounting plate. The most important characteristics are: fast cleaning of the ski edges from the summer oxidation and other damages caused by stones or else.
Cleaning: leave stone to soak in water.
Application: dry or with water.

SYNTHETIC RUBBER C 150KPCAbrasive agglomerate composed of: carbide of synthetic silicon and polymerized synthetic resin. The abrasive rubber is used in order to remove the wire of the ski edges when a less abrupt taking of the ski edges is demanded, on skis prepared for particularly hard snow. After sharpening the ski edges with natural stone "2 Medaglie" fine or "Original Arkansas", without files, the ski edges are ready again for usage on frozen snow.
